I finally found a way to get more protein and nutrition out of my beloved hot cereal! I have been playing around with ideas on how to incorporate hot cereal into my meal plan, and adding some flax seed, a little protein powder, and some egg whites has made me so happy! The texture comes out perfect and the egg whites don’t scramble when you stir them in. Plus, you’re not starving an hour later! If you’re like me, and you love a steaming bowl of buttery hot cereal too, I hope you try it! You can find the Cream of the West that I used online, and this works with Malt-O-Meal, Cream of Wheat, and oatmeal too!
